13th Cape Town Intl Jazz Festival release

It is that time of the year again whereby the South/ Africa’s grandest gathering is happening. Contributing over R350 million to the country’s GDP, and a massive influx in tourism. 5 Stages, 40 international and local artists, 2 days, average of 30 000 people per day. The event includes workshops, a free concert, jazz conference, and gala dinner. All this happening in Cape Town on the 30-31 March 2012, with an astounding 52% on attendance coming from Gauteng !! An amazing line-up, with big local and international names. 2 outdoor feature stages, and 3 indoor stages for the more urban flavoured, hip-hop, rap, electronic acts.

This year’s amazing line-up includes top smooth-jazz, jazz, soul acts Dave Koz, Patti Austin, James Ingram, Kevin Mahogany, Mike Stern, Alfredo Rodriquez, Steve Tyrell, Ron Carter, Donald Harrison, David Sanchez & Reggae hit band Third World, to SA jazz favourites Hugh Masekela, Herbie Tsoaeli, Unathi, Adam Glasser, Zakes Bantwini and more.
